“Who’s Watching Whom” Calvin Carter
The Pearce Museum is excited to announce that the Navarro College Foundation Board of Directors has selected five works of art from the “Texas Artist Invitational Show 2019” to purchase for the museum’s permanent Western Art collection. These pieces include a variety of artistic mediums, including oil, watercolor, gouache, and scratchboard, and exemplify some of the wonderful talent and skill of contemporary Texas artists.
“We are thrilled to add these works by five superlative Texas artists to the Pearce Museum
‘s permanent art collection, thanks to the support of the Navarro College Foundation board and the foresight of our founders,” said Director Ann Zembala. “We are grateful to Chuck & Peggy Pearce for leaving us the funds to add important works to the Western Art collection and continue their goal of supporting ‘up & coming’ artists who are keeping the field of Western Art fresh and vibrant.”
